LINGUIST Mailing Versions
|
LINGUIST List is a mailing list that includes the
text or web address of each issue in an email. You can choose to
receive the full version, a digest, or LINGLITE.
- If you choose the full version, you will receive each
issue as it is posted, which may be 10 or more issues per day.
You also have the option of
specifying which topics you would like to receive or exclude.
- If you choose the digest, you will receive one email a day
that includes all the issues posted for that day, including subject,
author, and full text.
- If you choose LINGLITE, you will receive one email a day
that includes all the issues posted for that day, including subject,
author, and the URL address where the full text of each issue can be viewed.
(Note that LINGLITE is designed for people who typically read
LINGUIST on the web. It differs from the digest version in that
it provides a web link link where you can view the full text of an
issue-- this text is not included in the email itself.)
The mailing list for LINGUIST full/digest versions and for LINGLITE are kept separately.
For this reason, it is possible to be subscribed to both LINGLITE and another version. If you would like to switch
from LINGLITE to another version or vice versa, you must first unsubscribe from one list and re-subscribe to the other.
