FYI: New Soqotri Text in Semitic Linguistics Archive

FYI Body:	Part two of the Soqotri-language 'A Tale of Two Brothers' has been published in the Spring 2010 California Linguistic Notes (CLN).The first part of the tale can be found at the Semitic Language Archive(SemArch) at Heidelberg University (http://www.semarch.uni-hd.de/index.php4?lang=en). The posting for part one can be found here at: (http://listserv.linguistlist.org/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind1006B&L=LINGUIST&P=R12429) Where the first part of the story is very close to the well-known ancient Egyptian text from the Papyrus d'Orbiney, the second part is a combination of several folk stories not related to the plot of the second half in the original text. In the published Soqotri text, some connections to the ancient Canaan and his cults are explored.
