HELLENIC LANGUAGE TECHNOLOGY LIST (HLTL) The Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society announces the operation of the Hellenic Language Technology List (HLTL). HLTL is an automated e-mailing list intended to contribute to the further growth of the following fields in Greece: - computational linguistics - natural language processing - speech processing - language technology and to contribute to the development of theories and techniques for the Greek language in the above fields. Job announcements related to the above are particularly encouraged. HLTL is a service of the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN, see http://www.iit.demokritos.gr/skel/eetn), and is supervised by the following EETN members (listed alphabetically): - Ion Androutsopoulos, NCSR "Demokritos" (coordinator, ionandr@iit.demokritos.gr) - Nikos Fakotakis, University of Patras (fakotaki@wcl.ee.upatras.gr) - Stelios Piperidis, Institute for Language and Speech Processing (spip@ilsp.gr) - George Vouros, University of the Aegean (georgev@aegean.gr). To subscribe to HLTL, send an e-mail message to hltl-request@iit.demokritos.gr. The ***body*** of the message must be "subscribe hltl". The subject of the message will be ignored. The message must be plain ASCII with no attachments, and it must contain nothing else in its body. If the message contains attachments (e.g. vcards) or extra text (e.g. signatures), you may receive error messages, which in most cases can be ignored. Messages to the subscribers of HLTL must be sent to hltl@iit.demokritos.gr. Only subscribers of the list can post messages to the list. Messages greater than 100K will be rejected automatically.
