Subject: Origin of an adage
Question: The adage is ''What is truer than truth? Story.'' I've spent several hours searching the internet (not the best research tool, I know) and the best I can find is a vague attribution to ''a Jewish saying.'' I would like to find out as much as I can about the source and/or first appearance of this proverb. Any info you share or resources you can point me towards would be much appreciated. Thanks for all your wonderful work on this site--it's a treasure!
