Subject: College
Question: My boyfriend is currently interested in switching into a linguistics
major program, but through the research we have done it was
inconclusive which universities truly were the best. In a current
linguist's opinion, What university, preferably in the United States, is
the best for entering the field today?

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Catherine Atchley

Reply: Indeed.

Other considerations include: what places appeal to you? how much money do you have? do you want to be close to friends and family? is there anywhere you can get a scholarship?

However brilliant the program, if you were in a place with weather you hated and far away from all that's dear to you (a skier in Florida; a surfer in Chicago.....), you'd be miserable.
