Subject: Questions regarding participle
Question: I have gone through the definition of participle given at http://www-01.sil.org/LINGUISTICS/GlossaryOfLinguisticTerms/WhatIsAParticiple .htm I still have the following questions regarding the participle: 1. On what basis are the verbs classified as participle? 2. Which form of the verb is not participle form?
Reply: This looks rather like a homework or test question. I would suggest that you look at the sections on verb forms in a good grammar text.
