Full Title: Formal Approaches to Creole Studies III

Short Title: FACS III
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Start Date: 15-Nov-2012 - 16-Nov-2012

Meeting Email: click here to access email
Meeting Description: This workshop is a follow-up of two previous workshops, namely FACS I, which was held in 2008 at CASTL, University of Tromsoe, and FACS II, held in 2010 at ZAS, Berlin. The goal of the workshop is to bring together scholars who share an interest in the formal study of Creole languages. Highlighting the more formal issues surrounding Creole formation may help us shed light on the various ways in which Creole languages come into being as well as their diverse grammatical properties. At the same time, it may enhance the interaction between theoretical linguists and researchers ‘in the field’.

Michel DeGraff (MIT)
Jorge Rocha (CIBIO/Universidade do Porto)

Fernanda Pratas (Universidade Nova de Lisboa)
Nélia Alexandre (Universidade de Lisboa)
Tjerk Hagemeijer (Universidade de Lisboa)
