Meeting Description: Continuity and change are two concepts indispensably concomitant with any academic research or endeavor that positively stretch across a wide array of disciplines. The aim of our conference, however, is to deal with continuity and change in the sphere of humanities and to relate them specifically to the studies of the English language and English cultures and literatures.

The following scholars have agreed to participate in the conference and deliver plenary talks:

Prof. Bogusław Bierwiaczonek (WSZOP)
Prof. Adam Wojtaszek (University of Silesia)
Prof. Maria Wysocka (University of Silesia)


The conference will be held in Wyższa Szkoła Zarządzania Ochrona Pracy w Katowicach (the Higher School of Labour Safety Management in Katowice), ul. Bankowa 8, 40-007 Katowice.

All the participants are requested to return the registration form by May 20, 2013. The fee, which covers organization costs, conference materials, lunch and refreshments, conference dinner as well as, costs of a reviewed published monograph is:
