Meeting Description: We are pleased to announce the first international HEPCLIL (Higher Education Perspectives on Content and Language Integrated Learning) conference to be held at the University of Vic, 27 - 28 March 2014.

Universities are offering more and more courses and programmes in an additional language. At HEPCLIL, therefore, we would like to debate the methodological implications of these changes, giving voice to practical classroom experiences and initiatives. We would also like to act as a platform for cutting-edge research on CLIL in higher education. What impact does teaching in an additional language have on content or language learning? What are the effects on teachers and students in higher education?

With these aims and questions in mind we have invited the following keynote speakers to HEPCLIL:

David Marsh (University of Jyväskylä)
Emma Dafouz (Universidad Complutense de Madrid)
Rosie Tanner (Educational consultant)

Conference Themes:

- Syllabus design and lesson planning
- Content learning
- Language learning
- Assessment
- Theoretical frameworks

Languages: Catalan, Spanish, English

Registration fee: €120
Linguistic Subfield: Applied Linguistics; Language Acquisition
LL Issue: 24.3875
