Meeting Description: The 14th International Symposium on Chinese Languages and Linguistics (IsCLL-14) will be held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Institute of Linguistics, Academia Sinica, on June 4-6, 2014. For nearly two decades, the biennial IsCLL conferences have brought together linguists working on Chinese languages and linguistics, each time under a specified conference theme. With the main theme 'Genetic Relationships among East-Asian Languages', the upcoming IsCLL-14 will be devoted to one of the core issues of historical linguistics with a focus on genetic relationships of languages such as Sino-Tibetan, Austronesian, Kam-Tai, Miao-Yao, Mon-Khmer, and Altaic languages.
