Meeting Description: DiGS16 will host a special workshop entitled 'Converging Corpora: How to standardize historical corpora of typologically and genetically different languages' on 2 July 2014, aiming to present and discuss historical corpora and methodological issues related to corpus-building.

With the recent increase in the number of annotated historical corpora, it seems reasonable to explore the possibilities of collaboration. The objective is to move towards a harmonized common framework and methodology. An important goal of the workshop is to highlight the issues we encounter when annotating languages with rich morphology.
