"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Meeting Description: IBERAMIA'2014 is the 14th edition of the Ibero-American Conference on Artificial Intelligence.

This is the leading symposium where the Ibero-American AI community comes together to share research results and experiences with researchers in Artificial Intelligence from all over the world.

IBERAMIA 2014 will be held in Santiago, Chile, on November 24-27, 2014. The conference will take in the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, which is located in the city centre of Santiago and can be reached easily by train, by car, by tram or by foot.

The conference will feature a pre-conference program of workshops. The main technical program will consist of invited talks by leading scientists working in the area, presentations of technical papers, as well as system demonstrations.
