Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Conference theme: Language, Literature and Culture in the 21st Century

The conference has two major objectives, namely to discuss African languages and literatures in the context of multilingual and multicultural discourses and to examine African languages, literature and culture in the light of the new socio-political and economic circumstances of the 21st century in Africa.

Keynote Speakers:

Renowned scholars have been identified as Keynote Speakers. Their names will be communicated to you in due course.

Registration:

Participants will be required to pay a registration fee of P2000.00 or US$200 or R2300.00 Students will pay P500.00 or US$50 or R650.00.

Print, fill urgently, sign, scan and send back the VISA application form to Professor S.T.M. Lukusa lukusast@mopipi.ub.bw by e-mail with the following attachments:

1) A certified copy of your passport
2) An English translation of the certification stamp which is on that passport copy (if it is not in English).
3) A passport-size picture of you, facing the camera without multi-colour background
4) An application fee of US$ 107 (to be sent to Professor Lukusa by Western Union to the name and office address given below):
