Meeting Description: The Department of Linguistics, Deccan College Post-Graduate & Research Institute, Pune is delighted to announce the International Seminar on Munda Linguistics to be held at the Deccan College PG & RI, Pune from 16-17 March 2017 in collaboration with the Central Institute of Indian languages, Mysore.

The goal of this seminar is to create a forum to discuss issues concerning linguistic perspectives, anthropological perspectives, genetic perspectives and others in relation to Munda languages spoken in India. The discussion on various themes on Munda languages will help us in our studies related to understanding the relationship among various Munda branches and variation within branches, a proto-Munda reconstruction, peopling history and ethno-cultural aspects in detail.
