|Meeting Description:||The Annual Second Language Acquisition (SLA) Student Symposium brings together graduate students and scholars studying language teaching and learning within the broad area of second language acquisition. In keeping with the SLA Student Symposium spirit of diversity, conversation, and advocacy, we invite proposals from colleagues working on a variety of topics addressing current and emergent issues in the field of SLA.

The Doctoral Workshop received positive feedback from attendees last year. We will continue to provide this platform for discussion of research at the early stages of research design, data collection, or analysis. Meeting for one hour over lunch on Saturday, April 22, small groups of participants led by faculty moderators will discuss students' work with the main objective of providing constructive feedback on works-in-progress.
Graduate students are invited to submit a proposal to participate in a panel titled Reimagining Language Teaching and Learning, which will take place on the afternoon of Friday, April 21. Four panelists will give 15-minute presentations related to the theme and share 15 minutes of Q&A with the audience. For their participation, the panelists will receive an honorarium of $150 and compensation for transportation and lodging expenses.
