|Meeting Description:||The Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association (RMMLA) is a non-profit membership organization, established in 1947, that promotes the study and teaching of language, literature, and culture. The RMMLA is one of six regional but independent branches of the Modern Language Association of America. The RMMLA has approximately 900 faculty, student, and independent members.
RMMLA holds an annual convention in early October, attended by over 600 of our members. Sessions are varied in topics, from different literature and cultural topics in foreign languages to applied and theoretical linguistics of those foreign languages. One of its sessions on linguistics is 'Romance Language'. The goal is for the linguists working on a Romance language around the Rocky Mountain area to meet and share their research interests.
