Meeting Description:	Workshop: New Insights into the Syntax and Semantics of Complementation Organizers: Lukasz Jedrzejowski, Mathias Schenner, Kerstin Schwabe This workshop is part of the 21st International Conference on Historical Linguistics (ICHL 21): http://www.hf.uio.no/ifikk/english/research/events/ichl2013/ The purpose of this workshop is to examine the diachronic origin and change of complementation structures within a language as well as across languages. We would like to discuss how the emergence and change of embedded clause types interact with the development of different clause-embedding predicate classes. Additionally, we would like to pay closer attention to how semantic change of clause-embedding predicates may give rise to or prohibit new complementation types.
