Previous conferences in this series were held in Aix-en-Provence (2005), Geneva (2007), Paris (2009), and Salford (2011). The IDP 2013 conference will be held in Leuven (Belgium), at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), on September 11 to 13, 2013. It is a joint organisation by FranItalCo, the research group of French and Italian linguistics from the University of Leuven, and by the research centre Valibel - Discours & Variation of the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Université catholique de Louvain). There is a wide range of phenomena which illustrate how research in prosody feeds into research into discourse and vice versa: information structuring, the communication of attitudes and emotions, irony and humour, language processing, the identification of genre and speech styles, and speaker accommodation phenomena. In this conference series, the relationship between prosody and discourse has been viewed from the perspective of phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, language acquisition, language processing, language pathology, stylistics and speech synthesis. Moreover, research has been carried out in a variety of theoretical paradigms. Les précédentes conférences de cette série ont eu lieu à Aix-en-Provence (2005), à Genève (2007), à Paris (2009), et à Salford (2011). En 2013, la conférence est organisée à Louvain (Belgique), à la Faculté de Lettres de l’Université de Louvain (KULeuven), du 11 au 13 septembre 2012. Il s’agit d’une organisation conjointe de FranItalCo, le groupe de recherche sur le français et l’italien de l’Université de Louvain, et du centre de recherche Valibel - Discours & variation, à l’Université de Louvain-la-Neuve (Université catholique de Louvain). Un large éventail de phénomènes illustrent comment la recherche en prosodie complète l’analyse du discours, et vice versa : structure informationnelle, communication d’attitudes et d’émotions, ironie et humour, traitement du langage, identification des genres et des styles de discours, et phénomènes d’accommodation entre locuteurs. Dans cette série de conférences, la relation entre prosodie et discours a été analysée dans différentes perspectives : phonétique, phonologie, syntaxe, sémantique, pragmatique, acquisition du langage, traitement du langage, pathologies du langage, stylistique et synthèse de la parole. En outre, une grande variété de modèles théoriques sont représentés.
