|Meeting Description:||The LaTeCH workshop series is a forum for researchers who develop technology for improved information access to data from the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Cultural Heritage. Applications in these domains are rapidly emerging, while they typically entail new challenges with respect to NLP resources and workflows.
Noisy, non-standard, or historical textual or multimodal input, coupled with the scarcity of available digital semantic resources in philology-specific domains require the adaptation of existing, or the creation of novel approaches to (semi-)automatic processing tools and structured resources.
It is of mutual benefit that NLP experts, data specialists, and Digital Humanities representatives working in and across these areas get involved in the Computational Linguistics community and present their fundamental or applied R&D results.
|Linguistic Subfield:||Computational Linguistics|
