Meeting Description:	13th International Young Linguists Conference May 7-9, 2012 Organized by the Czech Department, Philosophical Faculty, Palacký University & The Linguistic Association of the Czech Republic You are cordially invited to the traditional annual meeting of young linguists developing the tradition started in 2000 in the Czech Language Institute of the ASCR in Prague and since 2001 continued at Palacký University in Olomouc. This year’s main topics are: 1. Data based X theory based linguistic approaches: are they compatible? 2. Diachronic data X theories and methods of synchronic linguistics: can they be combined? 3. Grammaticalization in Meillet sense (l’attribution du caractère grammatical à un mot jadis autonome) X pragmaticalization (and other -izations): can they cooperate? Conference: a) Main conference: papers on the central or related topics b) Workshops: there will be 5 workshops at the conference 1.
