Meeting Description:	The American Name Society (ANS) was founded in 1951 to promote onomastics, the study of names and naming practices in the United States and abroad. The organization publishes a peer-reviewed journal, NAMES, and hosts an annual conference in conjunction with the Linguistic Society of America. We welcome research on all scholarly topics relevant to names and naming research.
