Meeting Description:	17th Arbeitstagung zur Gesprächsforschung (‘Annual Conference on Conversation and Discourse Analysis’) Special Theme 2013: Prosody in Interaction This conference is the annual main event for conversation and discourse analysts in the German-speaking countries. This year it aims at highlighting the role of prosody in its interplay with other linguistic dimensions, in constituting interactive structures and actions, in the display of affectivity, its relationship with geographical and social variables and its role in language acquisition. Further relevant issues include the units of spoken language, the relationship of phonetics and prosody as well as the choice between various methodological approaches. The conference is accompanied by a fair featuring spoken-language analysis technology.
