Irish Network in Formal Linguistics

INFL Conference May 25-27, 2011 Abstract submissions are invited for the first international conference to be held by the Irish Network in Formal Linguistics (INFL) from 25-27 May 2011 at the University of Ulster at Jordanstown. Papers are invited in any area of theoretical linguistics and its applications, and also for two special sessions, on ‘Microvariation and the syntax of non-standard dialects’, and on Minority Languages. Abstracts should not exceed two pages in 12 point font, including data and references, and should be submitted via Easyabs, or by e-mail to The deadline for submission of abstracts is 15 April 2011. Keynote speakers will include Christina Tortora (CUNY) Liliane Haegeman (Ghent) and Heidi Harley (Arizona), Andrew Carnie (Arizona) and Maria Polinsky (Harvard). Proceedings of the conference will be published as an issue of Belfast Working Papers in Linguistics.
