2nd European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI) Conference Formulating Better Medicines for Children

Join us in Berlin for the 2nd EuPFI conference on Formulating Better medicines for children. On behalf of EuPFI, I have a great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd EuPFI conference ‘Formulating Better Medicines for Children’ which will take place in the fascinating city of Berlin, Germany, September 21-22, 2010. After the first successful conference of the “European paediatric formulation initiative” which took place in London (2009) with special emphasis on excipients, taste assessment, devices and extemporaneous preparations, we are pleased to announce the second conference of the series. This event will shed light on key issues of developing medicines for children that meet the needs of the patient, prescriber and regulator. It will highlight the place of paediatric issues in drug development. The conference will be held over two days with sessions on guideline updates and regulatory perspective, industry experiences, taste masking and taste assessment, manipulation of adult dose forms, medicines for developing countries, selection of excipients, enabling formulations and finally devices, by case study driven presentations from leading experts in this area. This conference is tailored to maximise the sharing of knowledge and expertise in developing paediatric formulations from a global perspective. As well as the invited presentations, we are again asking for participants to submit material for oral/poster presentation by way of the Call for Abstracts. We urge all colleagues to consider profiling their material at this meeting. Please use the submission procedure on our website www.eupfi.org to submit your abstracts.
