Dear Subscribers, As a not-for-profit academic organization in the US, primary funding for The LINGUIST List is generated by private contributions. Without subscriber donations, our organization would not exist. In years past, only a small percentage of our readers have donated during our annual fund drive. In 2008, less than 4% of our subscribers donated. It is my hope that this year a greater number of you contribute, helping to ensure the survival of LINGUIST while reducing the financial burden of a few donors.
