The Institute for Language Information and Technology is a research unit within the College of Arts and Sciences at Eastern Michigan University. It gratefully acknowledges the unqualified support of Hartmut Höft, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Laura George, then chair of the Department of English, where the Linguistics Program resides, in helping the institute get established in 2006.
ILIT is grateful to the National Science Foundation for major funding contributed over the years. The infrastructure grants provided by the NSF have included funds to customize mailing list software, produce an enhanced Web site and search facilities, and create a searchable archive of linguistics-related mailing lists. Research grants for current and completed projects are described elsewhere in these pages.
