Beijing Normal University needs a fulltime foreign teacher beginning this September to teach "Applied Linguistics" and other courses. The teacher would presumably need a master's degree in applied linguistics, and would receive around 2,600 RMB/month (around $300 US), with a free apartment and a one-way air ticket supplied on the return trip from China back to the teacher's home country. The teaching load is probably around 12 hours per week, but this as well as the salary would have to be confirmed. Hi, I am John Chen at T & B.C. Language School in Shalu, Taichung, Taiwan. We are looking for a native English speaker with BA degree to be a full time teacher. If you enjoy being around children, this position could be suitable for you. Our school is located in the central part of Taiwan. Shalu is a nice town which is not a metropolis. But there are many international banks, MacDonald's and 7-11 stores in the center of town. Shalu is on the rail line which runs to the north and south of the island. We are a private, small and growing school that teaches children and adults English in the afternoon and evening. Our students are from age 8-12 who study in elementary school in the morning. There are 10-12 students in a class. Each class time is 1.5 hours. This small class size gives the students a quality learning experience with a lot of individual instruction. The classroom is air-conditioned and newly finished with whiteboards, student desks and hardwood floors. Each desk is equipped with a headset on which students and the teacher can listen to each other clearly. The teacher can also use the system to listen or communicate with students. There is a TV and VCR which can aid your lessons, as well as many textbooks, flashcards and posters on hand that may be utilized for teachers to prepare their curriculum. Teachers can also suggest creative ways of teaching. We prefer the teacher become familiar with the circumstances of our school for 2-3 days, and then we arrange for the teacher to be trained. We need a teacher who has patience and really wants to teach and play with children. We do not offer air tickets but free accommodation can be provided while teaching here. The room is upstairs in the school and is at about 8 x 8 feet. There is a bed and a wardrobe in the the room. Beside the room there is a bathroom with shower. There are no cooking facilities available in the school, but you can find restaurants and vendors close to the school that offer a variety of cheap meals. Work permit and Mandrain lessonwould also be available. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
