The 8th International Conference on the History of Language Sciences
(ICHoLS VIII) will take place at the Ecole Normale Superieure de
Fontenay/Saint-Cloud (near Paris), from Tuesday Sept. 14 1999
to Sunday Sept.19 1999, under the patronage of the Societe
d'Histoire et d'Epistemologie des Sciences du Langage (Society of
History and Epistemology of Language Sciences) and the Laboratoire d'Histoire
des Theories Linguistiques (Laboratory of History of Linguistic Theories)

University Paris 7/ENS Fontenay-Saint-Cloud.
This series of international conferences takes place alternatively in
Europe (Lille, Trier, Galway, Oxford) and in America.
The conference will be a meeting point for researchers working in the field
of the History of linguistics, a domain currently expanding, numerous
learned societies and several scientific journals.
