Hello everyone, I am from Morocco. I am a researcher in generative linguistics (syntax). The objective of this message is that I need some references on computational linguistics, kind of guide lines. So could somebody, please, tell me about some available works on the subject (for beginners). I find the subject very fascinating and I want to know what it is all about. At the same time I would be very thankful if I could be informed about some URLs where some material on the subject can be viewed. Dear Linguists! I am currently working on the description of a few speech genres. One of them is COMPLAINING in spoken Polish. I wonder if someone could help me to find some "complaining" texts in English or in other languages (are there such texts on-line?). I would like to compare them to see if this type of text is similar in Polish and in other languages. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions you have. And I will post the summary of course. For the purposes of an article I am writing, I would like to receive information about linguistics programs in technical colleges and universities. I.e. where such programs exist, how extensive they are, what degrees they offer. I am particularly interested in knowing whether such a program exists at Cal Tech. (I already know all I need to know about MIT.) Thank you.Mail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issue
