Postgraduate student required to provide teaching cover for semester one,
academic year 1999-2000.

Department of Cultural Studies
Subject - Linguistics 

Course - 'Words & Meaning'
Duration 12 weeks
Students - 2nd and 3rd year Linguistics and English Language
Studies students. Course content - morphology in the first half of
 the course 
 lexicography and lexicology in the
 second half. 
Hours - four hours per week
 There are approximately 45 students on
 the course. The students are split into
 two groups. Two hours teaching is
 repeated for 2nd group.
 Assessment - 2 written coursework assignments (50% each)

The tutor would be provided with the course schedule and other 
course materials such as hand-outs etc. but they would also be encouraged
 to use their own material.
