Chair, Department of Linguistics University of Alberta Edmonton, Canada Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Chair of the Department of Linguistics at the University of Alberta. This tenured appointment will be made at the rank of senior Associate or full Professor, effective 1 July 2000. The floor of the salary scale for the rank of Professor for the 1999/2000 academic year is $65,044. Candidates should have a distinguished record of scholarship and professional achievement in both experimental and theoretical linguistics, and a research specialization compatible with one of the continuing research strengths of the department.
