Dear Colleagues,

We are pleaseed to announce that the Centre de Recherches
Linguistiques sur l'Asie Orientale and the European Association of
Chinese Linguistics will organize the joint conference of the
Treiziemes Journees de Linguistique de l'Asie Orientale and the First
Meeting of the European Association of Chinese Linguistics to be held
at the Ecole des Hautes en Sciences Sociales, 54 Boulevard Raspail,
75006 Paris, June 10-11, 1999.

The conference welcomes papers on all topics of East Asian
linguistics. We hope you will be able to participate.

Please send (by mail, by fax or by E-mail) to the Organizing Committee
no later than March 31, 1999 the enclosed registration form together
with a one-page copy of your abstract (written in French, English or
Chinese) at the following address:
