University of California, Los Angeles. The Dept. of East Asian Languages & Cultures announces the search for a lecturer in Korean to begin Fall 1999. Duties include teaching of 2nd and 3rd year Korean for both heritage and non-heritage speakers of Korean, and help in the training of graduate students in language pedagogy. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in Korean and an excellent command of English. Preference is given to applicants with an MA or PhD in linguistics or applied linguistics. Candidate must show either a record of exceptional achievement or evidence of outstanding promise as a language teacher. Salary will depend on qualifications.
