Applications are invited from recent graduates, and current Masters or PhD students for two student internships at Aculab this summer/autumn. The internships are aimed at individuals who wish to gain commercial experience in the field of text-to-speech synthesis. Applicants must have native fluency in French and/or German, and their university background should be primarily in Linguistics. Applicants must also be proficient in English, as this is the working language. Some experience in C and/or C++ programming and familiarity with using Windows would be advantageous, but these skills are not essential. Masters and PhD students should note that the emphasis will be firmly on practical work, so it is unlikely that the internship will fit neatly into your thesis or research. The internship is expected to last for between three and four months. Start and finish dates are negotiable, and pay will be organised on an individual basis.
