We have an exciting career opportunity in our Network & Storage Management
Group for a Japanese Localization Specialist in our beautiful San Luis
Obispo office, which is located on the Central California Coast. As a
Japanese Localization Specialist, you will assist our software development
team in the localization/translation of our software products, resource and
help files, from English into Japanese, utilizing Framemaker and Visual C++
resource editor. You will generate Japanese and English bilingual
glossaries, translate, review, and provide desktop published documentation.
You will also provide user interface testing of Japanese translated
software, fix user interface bugs, and re-size dialog software products from
English to Japanese in addition, you will review and edit localized
products of other Japanese localization staff members and provide a
contextual, rather than a literal, translation of software products and
procedures.

Requirements: Two years of experience in localization or technical
translating and BS degree or foreign degree equivalent in English. Must be
bilingual in English and Japanese and have experience with Framemaker.

Job Description: Logos Machine Translation software is a client/server
environment that uses the latest Java and database technology. Its server
components are written in Java and C/C++ while the client side is completely
written in Java. Currently we have a need for dedicated, dynamic junior or
mid level test engineer with proven Quality Assurance and testing
backgrounds. Full project life cycle and software development experience is
a plus. Our product is complex and requires strong Software Quality
Management skills as well as strategic and critical thinking.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of one or more foreign languages, linguistics or
translation theory and practice; previous use of testing tools like Segue's
Silk products.
