SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT CALL FOR PAPERS COLLOQUE DE SYNTAXE ET SEMANTIQUE A PARIS CSSP 1999 THE PARIS SYNTAX AND SEMANTICS CONFERENCE October 7-9, 1999 The Laboratoire de linguistique formelle (University of Paris 7 and CNRS) organizes the third Syntax and Semantics Conference in Paris. CSSP conferences aim at promoting discussion between competing theories and formalisms. Papers are accepted in English and French. The meeting will consist of a general session and a thematic one. Papers are invited for both sessions. General session Thematic session SENTENCE AND DISCOURSE STRUCTURE: information packaging, discourse relations and connectives INVITED SPEAKERS Nicolas Asher, Sandra Chung, Oswald Ducrot, Tanya Reinhart ABSTRACTS Abstracts are invited for 20 mn presentations (followed by 10 mn discussions). Call for Contributions LINCOM Studies in Theoretical Linguistics LINCOM Studies in Theoretical Linguistics (LSTL) provides an outlet for high-quality studies in theoretical linguistics. Scholarly works treating any theoretical aspect of a linguistic area such as Language Typology, Cognitive Linguistics or Generative Grammar will be considered.
