It has a restaurant, bar and snack-bar, and a mini-market. I. The Conference Registration Fee is USD 40. II. Accommodation and Conference Package: We have made arrangements with the University Residence management to offer participants advantageous deals on accommodation (see table below). The prices (in US dollars, per person) shown in columns A and B below cover a package comprising: i) three nights accomodation on bed & breakfast basis (arrival Thursday 9, departure Sunday 12 September) ii) mid-day meal on Friday and Saturday; iii) coffee breaks on Friday and Saturday; iv) Conference reception on Friday evening; v) Conference banquet on Saturday evening vi) transport to and from the conference venue for participants not staying at the University Residence. (See table below) The (3a) option refers to one-bedroom apartments with private bathroom, while (3b) refers to rooms in a three-bedroom apartment, sharing bathroom. The Corinthia Palace Hotel (1) is a five-star hotel in Balzan, a comfortable ten minutes' walk from the conference venue, while the Forum Hotel (2) is a four-star hotel further away in St. Julian's. For the benefit of those intending to arrive earlier than Thursday 9 and/or depart later than Sunday 13 September, we have included details of accommodation costs per extra night (bed & breakfast basis). Optional Excursion: USD 20 Not included in the above is an optional whole-day tour to Gozo (Malta's sister island) on Sunday 12 September. The all-inclusive price covers ferry charges, entrance tickets, the services of a guide, and a midday meal. Payment We stress that participants wishing to avail themselves of the rates quoted, whether they intend to stay at the University Residence or at either of the two hotels listed, are to deal exclusively with the University Residence management, and not with that of the respective hotel. However, a charge of USD 85 (over and above the Registration fee) will be payable to defray conference expenses for lunches, coffee breaks, reception and banquet.
