*****2nd Annual Chinook Jargon Workshop*****

The Language Program of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde has
announced that it will host the 2nd Annual Chinook Jargon Workshop. It
will be held in Grand Ronde, Oregon, August 13-15, 1999. Featured at
the workshop will be both opportunities to increase your abilitiies
with spoken Chinook, and presentations related to a variety of
linguistic and historical aspects of Chinook Jargon. Rates: US $30.00
or CAN $45.00 per attendee will cover workshop materials and the
Saturday night banquet. More details are available on the Web at , or via e-mail from the Tribe's
Language Program at <>. Two scholarships
of $250 each are available for attendees, and will be awarded by the
Tribe's Language Program. Contact Tony Johnson for further details.
