UM99 is almost upon us. The Canadian Rockies are about to provide the
perfect venue for multi-disciplinary study of user modelling. The
Programme is exciting with a core of invited talks and full paper.
This is complemented by the forward looking and innovative work to
be discussed in short papers, posters and workshops.

We look forward to seeing you and hope you will encourage colleagues to
