A number of annual bursaries are available for new PhD students,
covering fees for UK and EU students, or an equivalent amount towards
the fee for overseas students.

Completed application forms, accompanied by a PhD research proposal of
approximately 1000 words and an indication of interest in a bursary,
should be returned by Tuesday July 6th 1999.

The Centre carries ESRC Mode A Recognition, and high ratings for its
research and teaching (RAE 5A, and TQA Excellent). All of our PhD
