Dear colleagues - Has anyone done research on narrative (as defined by Labov) in Nigerian English or in any other creoles? Any reference would be welcome. I will post a summary. Hi, I've been doing some research on the English reflexives and came across the following type: Here the river divides (itself) into two branches. The meaning of the sentence is, more or less, similar with or without the reflexive. I would much appreciate it if you could direct me to any related references or give me similar examples. Thanks. -makotoMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issue
