Dear Linguists,
An MA student of mine intends to conduct a research on the possible
effects of second-language learners' meta-linguistic awareness on
their oral performance with specific reference to 'phrasal stress'.
She's specially interested to see if such an awareness developed
through such approaches as Metrical Phonology has any positive
effects on their oral performance. If you know of ANY relevant

sition of syntax and lexicon in the second language context. She
wants to see whether L2ers begin with lexicon or syntax (if they
do begin with one and not the other). If you know of ANY relevant
