__________________________________________________________________ Postdoctoral Research Position in Dublin City University __________________________________________________________________ The Visual Media Processing Group (VMPG) in the Research Institute for Networks and Communications Engineering (RINCE) at Dublin City University (DCU), is seeking for a candidate of European Union Member State and Associated State nationality (excepting Irish nationals) to fill the following vacant research position: Postdoctoral researcher for a total appointment period of 24 months, start date to be negotiated. Salary will be in the range 37,000 EUR - 41,000 EUR, per annum plus travel allowance. The successful candidate will become a member of a rapidly expanding research group and take on a coordinating role in the A-VISAGE (Audio-Visual Indexing and Summarisation Adapted to GEnre) project. Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. and have research expertise in the field of audio compression and analysis. A good working knowledge of ISO/IEC MPEG audio compression would be beneficial. Very good knowledge of English is highly desirable.
