Although formal pragmatics has a long tradition, it has generally

been a rapid progress in the field, as witness the development of
new approaches such as:

 - Optimality theory (OT)
 - Game and decision Theory
 - Theory of distributed Systems
 - Logic-based approaches
 - Extensions of dynamic semantics
 - Extensions of classical pragmatic approaches

This workshop offers an opportunity for the discussion of new
approaches to formal pragmatics. We invite submissions related
but not limited to the following topics:

 - Optimality and interpretation
 - Information and relevance
 - Game theory and communication
 - Conversational implicature
 - Presupposition
 - Focus
 - Information update in dialogue
 - Dialogue acts and their representation
