Colloquium on Intercultural Business Communication Research at the 3rd Symposium on Bilingualism, University of the West of England, Bristol, 18 - 20 April 2001 The aim of this colloquium is to gain more insight into the qualitative and quantitative methods that can be used for research on intercultural business communication, the problematic aspects of these methods, and how these can be solved. We aim to bring together researchers from different theoretical backgrounds in the field of Intercultural Business Communication such as socio- and psycholinguists, cultural psychologists and (business) communication specialists. One focus will be on empirical research in the field of intercultural competence for business communication and on relevant research in the field of bilingualism/biculturalism. Papers with an interdisciplinary approach are particularly welcome.
