A message for individuals who enjoy syntax and hot, humid weather: The Linguistics Program at USC (East) will be having, next week, a mid-summer regional workshop. Marlyse Baptista (U GA) and I have organized a meeting of scholars whose research involves inquiry into syntax. The workshop will consist of five presentations and discussion of these. The workshop will begin on Friday Evening 7/21 at 6:30 p.m., and continue through Saturday 7/22. All sessions will be held in Gambrell 429. A webpage for the workshop, complete with presentation titles and abstracts, is available at: http://www.cla.sc.edu/LING/faculty/dubinsky/SSSW/SSSW.html and also through the USC Linguistics Program main webpage: http://www.cla.sc.edu/LING/index.html If you plan to attend any or all sessions, please let the organizers myself (dubinskyMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuesc.edu) or Marlyse Baptista (baptista
