 COGNITIVE APPROACH TO VERB SEMANTICS 

 First call for papers 

On-line conference "COGNITIVE APPROACH TO VERB SEMANTICS" is going to be
held on November 15th to 25th 2000.
The organizers are Kazan State University and "Web Journal of Formal,
Computational & Cognitive Linguistics"
( http://www.kcn.ru/tat_en/science/fccl/ ). It will be the forth on-line
conference organized by the "Web Journal of Formal, Computational & 
Cognitive Linguistics".
 
The aim of the conference is comparison of the approaches of different
linguistic theories to description of the verb semantics and understanding
cognitive bases of language. Papers on all aspects of these problems are
welcome.

All the papers will be put on the Web site of the Journal. The proceedings
of the conference are to be published in the Journal and on CD.
 
SUBMISSION & REVIEW PROCEDURES

 Paper selection and review procedures will be similar to those of a
regular conference. We ask you send a shot abstract in ASCII and paper in
ASCII or RTF or PostScript. Length of the paper is not limited. The
language of the conference is English. Abstracts and papers must be send
to <solovyevmi.ru>. The first 3 lines of the message should consist of

 The title of the paper
 Your name
 Your email address

Deadline for papers: October 31, 2000

Final program announced: November, 10, 2000

Participation in the on-line conference will be carried out on the list
VERB.LIST that has been created for that purpose. To subscribe 
to this list, send the following message to <majordomoksu.ru>:

messages to <verbksu.ru>. A record of all received messages will be
maintained on a specific Web page at the conference site. Everyone
subscribed to the list will receive these

At the end of the conference participants will be automatically removed
from the VERB.LIST.
