The major tasks will be to teach on basic courses in language and linguistics and to develop and maintain courses and support programmes for students in expository writing, both native and non-native speakers of English. It is expected that the candidates will have at least a Master's Degree in English Language or Linguistics or in Composition Studies, with experience of teaching writing and grammar to students from a range of abilities and backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop a new-style undergraduate writing programme. The post is available from 1 September 2000 - 30 June 2001.
