Dear Subscribers, We wanted to pass on a suggestion concerning the new LINGUIST cookbook at http://linguistlist.org/cookbook/ From James Fidelholtz jfidelMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issuesiu.buap.mx: ". . . why not name the cookbook after Jim McCawley, or make it in his honor? It seems both timely and appropriate to do so." We thought this was a great idea, but we wanted to make sure others agree (esp. linguists outside America). Do you? If so, what should the actual name be, "The Jim McCawley Cookbook"? Or maybe it would be better simply to put "In memory of Jim McCawley" on the main page(s), since a title with his name in it would suggest that it contained his recipes. And please submit a recipe to the cookbook! If we use it to honor Jim McCawley, it should be full of good food! Helen, Anthony, Andrew LINGUIST Moderators
