The following post will be advertised shortly: Vaxjo University, Sweden, invites applications for the post of Senior Lecturer in English Linguistics, in the School of Humanities. Duties include teaching and supervision of term papers at the undergraduate level in English linguistics within the ordinary English courses as well as within the teacher training programmes and the programme for International Administration with a Foreign Language. In addition duties may include teaching at the graduate level and other undergraduate teaching in which the English section is involved. Duties also include active participation in syllabus development and other administrative responsibilities. Qualifications required for a lecturership include both a completed PhD or evidence of corresponding academic competence and demonstrated teaching ability. Applicants with no knowledge of Swedish are expected to learn a Scandinavian language within a period of three years. Equal weight will be given to the applicant's research and teaching experience. Documented interest in developments within the field of teacher training would be an additional recommendation.
